The opportunity

 

Our client is a leading healthcare organisation that are continually growing and investing in the latest technologies to support their commitment to delivering excellent patient care. Due to ongoing growth there is currently an exciting opportunity for an experienced Level-2 Applications Support Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis.

Joining an innovative and collaborative team environment, your key focus will be to provide ongoing support and maintenance on a wide variety of business and clinical applications across different business units. You will gain fundamental experience implementing some of the latest digital projects in the healthcare sector and be rewarded by making a significant contribution to community lives.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuration, testing, upgrading and troubleshooting applications across the business
  • Supporting the process of integrating and releasing new applications into BAU environment
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service and user support across a broad range of departments
  • Gathering, analysing and validating business requirements 
  • Working collaboratively with the team by participating in ongoing research and making recommendations to ensure that IT systems and procedures are effectively maintained or improved
  • Training business users and maintaining training /procedures/reference materials for key business applications
  • Application testing and completing regular health checks to identify, analyse and report on functionality, reliability or data integrity issues

 

What are we looking for?

 

This position will suit a highly self-motivated individual who demonstrates a willingness to learn. Your ability to effectively engage and maintain rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders on various requirements or issues will be key to your success.

 

The following skills and experience will be required:

  • Strong background in supporting Windows Server environments
  • Previous experience in the healthcare sector (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Previous experience supporting TechOne ERP system, electronic medical record, patient administration systems or other clinical applications is highly advantageous
  • Qualifications in Information Technology
  • Competent MS SQL skills 
  • Experience in other programming languages is highly desirable
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Exposure to project and change management experience is advantageous
